Cashier
The Cashier’s Office is responsible for receiving monies for payments on student accounts, accounts receivables, and deposits from other departments on campus. This office also prepares and makes the daily cash deposits to local banks. Complete instructions on cashier functions are in Section 30.53 of the Business Policies and Procedures Manual. Cash Handling training is offered online at Human Resource Services.
Payments for Student Accounts, Housing and Dining, and Cougar Telephone can be made online with a no cost e-check. WSU accepts payments online via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover Card with a 2.5%-2.95% service fee charged by the credit card acceptance company which will clearly be displayed at time of payment. **A returned check fee of $30 will be assessed for any check or electronic payment returned unpaid by the bank for any reason. This fee is non‑refundable and is assessed to cover administrative and bank processing costs incurred by the University. The fee may be reversed only in cases of documented bank or University error.
